his is a short easy trek running parallel to the high Himalayas with great views all
the way. There is something special about the trek to Chopta. Something magical in the forest around it.
The sounds of the forest are wild and beautiful, orchestrating nature’s harmonious symphony.

How you can plan this trip?

Take an early morning train at 06:30 from Delhi to reach Haridwar. Arrive at Haridwar and get transferred to camp in Rishikesh. Afternoon lunch at the camp in Rishikesh. In the late afternoon, join for a rafting expedition
on the river Ganges. Overnight Stay at Rishikesh Camp.

After Breakfast, proceed to Dugalbitha- 7kms from Chopta. Lunch enroute. Dinner & Overnight at base camp.

Day of Trek Basecamp-Sari
After Breakfast, drive approx. 7 Km to Chopta. This is the point from where the trek to the “Chopta” begins. Trek will be start from Chopta to Tunganath –Chandrashila(Approx. 5 Km) .Tungnath has the highest Shiv temple in India. The
trek is 3km upward and you can cover the distance in 3hrs easily. En-route you will find lush green meadows and can see the entire range of snow clad Himalayas. Get your lunch packed for this day.

On arrival at Tungnath Temple, take some time to relax,then further trek 1.5 kms to the Chandrasila peak. Chandrashilla, at an altitude of 4090 Mtrs, is highest point of the mountain on which Chopta is situated and offers 270 degree views of Himalayan range. Later, trek back to Chopta and get transferred to base camp. Dinner & overnight
stay at camp.

Sari Trek -BaseCamp

Breakfast at camp and today drive a short distance to Sari, from where you can see the snow clad Himalayan ranges. Start your trek to Deoriatal (3 km) through dense forest of Rhodendron and lots of wild flowers and ferns.Trek to Deoriatal takes you to an emerald lake perched at an elevation of 2,438 mts above sea level. During early morning on a clear day, Deoriatal blesses the travellers with reflections of Chaukhamba peaks on its crystal clear water. At Deoriatal one can experience the best of two worlds, the first one being the real world and the other one being the reflection of the beautiful surroundings on the lake. Get your lunch packed for this day.

After spending some time at the magnificent lake, trek back to Sari village (3 km) and get transferred to base camp. Overnight stay at camp.

After an early breakfast drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival at Haridwar transfer to railway station to catch the train for Delhi. Arrival at Delhi by 23:00hrs
